Massed and distributed practice on learning the forehand shot in tennis

Purpose This study aims to determine the effect of distribution practice on learning forehand shot in tennis. Method Twenty-four beginner tennis players participated (13 males and 11 female; 8.63 ± 0.92 years old). The were separated after groups -massed ( N = 12) distributed 12). Each group practiced for 12 sessions, 4 series per session 10 trials/series (6 weeks). accuracy efficacy measured through one post-test retest, carried out 2 weeks last session. Results Significant improvements between pre-test p=.004) re-test p=.006) found massed group. p=.002) p=.001) No significant differences but there was a favourable trend toward better both, with improved efficacy. Conclusion motor among children has been noted, improvement skill acquisition two groups. results are useful because they clear up doubts about how plan teaching this stroke tennis, confirming suitability carrying programs based practice.
